Hai Phong & Cat Ba Island
Located 103 kilometers (64 miles) east of Hanoi on the coast of northern Vietnam, Haiphong, Vietnam’s third-largest city (behind Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi), is a major seaport and the main hub of northern Vietnam’s industrial activity, and has been for more than a century. Hai Phong is a beautiful city with much of the central colonial quarter still preserved. Many streets are bordered by flame flower trees, giving the city its other name “city of flame flowers”. Hai Phong is also a good base for exploring other areas in the northeast such as Cat Ba and Halong bay. In Hai Phong itself, the Du Hang temple, Hang Kenh communal house and the old quarter are worth visiting. Nearby Do Son beach is northern Vietnam’s most popular seaside retreat. It even boasts a casino!

Cat Ba Island
With an area of 200 square km, Cat Ba National Park encompasses forested zones, coastal mangrove and freshwater swamps, beaches, caves, and waterfalls. In 1986, the Northeast side of the island was designated a Cat Ba National Park. Cat Ba National park is rich in flora and fauna. There are more than 600 different kinds of plants. The island is also filled with animals of rare species like the white headed langurs, deers and macaques. It is home to a number of sea animals like sea turtles, lobsters, coral, oysters and dolphins. The Lan Ha Bay to the East is famous for its excellent beaches and breathtaking scenery. The Cat Co 1 and Cat Co 2 white sand beaches located one kilometer from Cat Ba town. All these features have turned Cat Ba Island into one of the major Vietnam popular destinations.

Do Son Beach
Do Son Beach is situated in Do Son Town, 20km from the southwest of Haiphong City, about 120km from Hanoi. Do Son is a small peninsula located between the Lach Tray and Van Uc Rivers. Do Son beaches are shaded by thousands of sandalwood trees and surrounded by mountains and Pine Hills. Immediately upon setting foot in Haiphong, the French turned Do Son into a summer resort for their expatriate community and the Vietnamese upper class.
Doson Casino
Doson casino was established on 1992 and started our operation on 1994. It’s the unique Casino in Vietnam for foreigners and overseas Vietnamese. It’s located in Hai Phong, the city with an area of 1,580 square km, which is the major seaport City in northern Viet Nam, 102Km east of Ha Noi. Du Hang pagoda
Du Hang Pagoda is located at 121 Du Hang Street, Du Hang Kenh Ward, Le Chan District, Haiphong.The pagoda was built under the Ly Dynasty. It was later renovated in the 17th century by Nguyen Dinh Sach, an officer of the imperial guard who resigned and became a Buddhist monk. In 1899, during the reign of King Thanh Thai, a monk by the name of Thong Hanh expanded the pagoda and built a bell tower. The existing pagoda resulted from the repair work carried out during that time. Inside the pagoda are several statues that are intricately engraved in the style of the Nguyen Dynasty. Valuable relics, such as bronze tripods and gongs, are also kept in the pagoda.
Hang Kenh Communal House
Hang Kenh Communal House, also referred to as Nhan Tho Communal House in Sino-Vietnamese. Built in 1717, Hang Kenh Communal House was later expanded in 1905. The main front hall, also called “dai dinh”, connects to the back part through a tiled roof bridge. There are lots of valuable items in the communal house, of which there are 156 pieces with a dragon as the main theme. Altogether, there are 308 dragons of different shapes and sizes. The pagoda also houses a statue of Ngo Quyen and a palanquin. Every year from the 16th to 18th of the second lunar month, ritual ceremonies, festivals, traditional games and performances of “cheo”, “tuong” and other folk songs are held at the communal house, attracting large crowds.
Trung Trang Grotto
15km from the Cat Ba town, close to the trans-island road. There are a lot of beautiful natural stalactites that makes you feel like flying high, visiting the Elysium on earth. The grotto can accommodate hundreds of people.
Viet Hai fishing village
Viet Hai – a small village which is sittuated deep within the Unesco Biosphere Reserve in a remote corner of Cat ba National Park. The small village is a mixture of old & new. The people of Viet hai grow rice, raise a few pigs as well as chickens, they maintain their home-gardens with various vegetables, fruits, medicinal plants and flowers, some people also go out fishing and collect sea food.
